I just want to say how much Shirley has been a God send and a guardian angle for me and my family. We moved here to Indy 11 years ago from the west coast. We had 2 young children and one on the way when we moved here with a job transfer from my husband. I best thing that happened to us was that Shirley was our realtor. She took the time to listen to us; what we wanted, what we were looking for what and what we needed for our growing family. (I ended up with four beautiful children). She even went so far to tell us things that we needed to get to help us later on down the road. Shirley helped us find and build our dream home. We lived in the house for 8 years and do to unfortunate turn of events in our lives we need to sell the house and fast. Shirley was there again to the rescue and had it sold in no time and helped us out of a bad situation.
Shirley has been and will always be part of my family. She not only is a great person with a big heart who cares and will go out of their way for people, she is a friend and confidant also. She took care of us without a blink of an eye. Her love and support makes her by far the best investment we made moving here to Indy.

Shirley has been a great Realtor. She really goes over and above what is expected of the normal Realtor. When we moved here from out of state she helped us locate the right property for us that we really could afford. Helped us through every aspect of the closing and made if comfortable for us being first time home buyers. There was no question when it came time to purchase a larger home for our family that she was the person to contact. She works hard and knows Indianapolis well. Shirley - My Realtor, My Friend
We have bought and sold three homes in the last sixteen years. We have used Shirley in every transaction. We wouldn’t think of doing anything that important without her.
She is a Christian, a mentor, and a friend. She is smart, kind, and enthusiastic about any topic you are discussing with her. If you have a question for her she almost always has the answer. If she doesn’t know it, the she will research it and get right back with you. If the answer has some gray areas, she will talk it out with you and give you her opinion backed up with years of experience and her success as a realtor along with life lessons in general and using her intuition, which seems to always be right. She will help and guide you through, whether its real estate or some other topic you want or need her opinion on .
Shirley is probably a lot of different things to different people, but to me she is a dear friend and also a mother figure to me. When we closed on our second house, it was chaos! Some paper work was wrong, numbers were wrong (title company mess up). I was confused! But Shirley wasn’t. She had to jump through some hoops, but she got it all straightened out. ( Like only she could). We closed and they handed us the keys. I said, “ Shirley, how can we ever thank you?!” She just tapped me on the end of my nose and said, “ You just go enjoy your new home kiddo” I had been a nervous wreck the whole time, but Shirley had a calmness bout her that I later realized was just her confidence in “problem solving”. Her forté.
If you are lucky or blessed enough cross her path in real estate or another way, you will have a friend for life. This includes her family too. Andy, Sharie, Gary, Sheila, Vince, and Kelly. Once you meet this group of good, honest, sincere people, you are drawn to them. They are always gracious enough to take you into there ever growing circle of friends.
I have never doubted Shirley’s motivations as a realtor. When we were bidding on a house that myself and my husband and Shirley all thought was the right house for us, I decided to drive past it the next day in the day light. The neighborhood was great but right next door….. Well lets just say it changed my mind. I called my husband and I thought he would be mad because we had looked so long, but he said call Shirley and see what she thinks so I did. I was afraid she would try to talk us into the deal anyways. (Again this was in the beginning of our friendship). I though she might say “Oh just put up a privacy fence.” but she said “I will drive by it right now and call you back” She called back and said “Oh Julie, I couldn’t sleep at night knowing your kids where right next door to that. Lets withdraw our offer and find you another house!” (Again very calm and confident as always). And she did find us the perfect house!
I knew for sure right then she had my family’s best interests at heart and not the almighty dollar like some people might. I have trusted her with a calm confidence ever since then.
Shirley is the most positive and motivated person I have ever met…. EVER - Seriously! If you ever have the chance to work with her you will come out of the experience a better person.
